Marquetry is a decorative technique that consists of inlaying pieces of wood of different colors to form geometric motifs. In the Nasrid tradition, this technique reached a mathematical perfection visible in doors, ceilings, and furniture of the Alhambra palaces.
It is a meditative art, where precision and beauty intertwine to transmit visual balance and cultural symbolism.
